Position title : Web Developer - PHP

Reports to	Sr. Web Developer.
Basic function	You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, code, test and deploy several Web projects with minimal assistance. You should know how to build a PHP web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code.
Duties and responsibilities	Develop web based applications. Structure web applications search engine friendly. Optimize and maintain existing source codes. Participate in design and code reviews.
Competency required for the position	Good understanding of object oriented programming and programming principles. Comprehensive understanding of PHP scripting language. Good understanding of MySql / Postgres database (developer fundamentals). Good understanding of Linux Operating System. Knowledge of HTML (CSS based) & Java-Script. Knowledge of Ajax, PHP with MVC, Pear framework, Bash Shell scripting, Content management systems would be desirable.
Educational requirements	B.E / B. Tech / MCA
