Service tax: the tax of the future

[Details] Indirect taxes, mainly comprising customs and central excise duties, constitute important source of revenue for the central government. The share of indirect taxes is about 70% in the total tax revenue of the government. These taxes are hidden in the prices of goods and are not perceived as direct taxes.
