A "titanic" dinner, to sail ahead on 10th anniversary

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
NEW DELHI, April 12: The ship is long gone, but its famous dinner is still being readied, albeit after 86 years! Cashing in on the hype following the success of James Cameron's movie Titanic, a hotel in the Capital is attempting to recreate the dinner served on RMS Titanic on April 14, 1912, just hours before it sank.

A 11-course dinner with the exact menu that was served on the ship, the ambience, crockery and seating arrangement would be replicated at Le Meridien hotel. "We will recreate that ambience -- the complete sweep and style of the ship's first class dining salon and its now famous 11-course meal," a spokesperson of the hotel said. It also coincides with the 10th anniversary celebrations of the hotel, according to the spokesperson.
