A poet's obsession with death in the afternoon of time
The launch of the English translation of Harivansh Rai Bachchan's autobiography In the Afternoon of Time was a short affair, with a lot of time spent just sighing at the sight of Amitabh Bachchan and admiring his voice. Amitabh Bachchan did not spend more than 10 minutes reading out extracts in the original Hindi. Dr Rupert Snell spent about the same amount of time reading from his English translation.

A "titanic" dinner, to sail ahead on 10th anniversary
The ship is long gone, but its famous dinner is still being readied, albeit after 86 years! Cashing in on the hype following the success of James Cameron's movie Titanic, a hotel in the Capital is attempting to recreate the dinner served on RMS Titanic on April 14, 1912, just hours before it sank.
